Lambert Engraving can take almost any company logo and engrave it in a variety of materials from marble to wood.
In order to get a good engraving the logo should start as a high resolution image. If the logo is supplied on paper it must be scanned in, converted to the format the laser engraver uses and then tested on a scrap piece to ensure it engraves well. Most logos convert very well and therefore Lambert Engraving charges a low $15 setup fee for these photos.
However, some logos need a lot of restoration work in order to be engraved. In these cases Lambert Engraving charges a flat rate of $60 per hour to convert the logo for engraving. An estimate with a not to exceed cost will be supplied for each logo that falls into this category to ensure that you will have a complete understanding of the cost for each project. Logos can also be used from a web site however most web sites use a 72 dpi image that may not engrave well due to the low resolution or they require lots of time to clean up to yield a good engraving. Starting with a high resolution image is the best way to ensure a good engraving.
Once the logo has been setup the fee is $.60 per square inch for custom engravings (prices for standard items include the engraving). An example of a 5x7 engraved logo is:
Standard Setup fee: $15
Engraving: 5 x 7 x .$60 = $21
Total 1st Engraving: $36 + Material
Each additional Engraving: $21 + Material
Lambert Engraving will be happy to examine any logo you would like to engrave and give you an estimate for the cost to engrave.
Materials that engrave logos well:
Wood: Any close grained hard wood like Maple, Cherry, Alder or Walnut. Oak does not engrave well.
